I typically don’t wear much make up - will I look or feel over done?
For brides who usually go ala natural, this is a valid concern. However, I want to ensure you that you will still look and feel like you! The goal is to bring out your best features so you still look like yourself in photographs.
Do you work for a cosmetics company?
While I have previously worked for cosmetic and skin care companies, I do not work for - or represent - any one of them. What I do is bring the knowledge of several lines to you, but I'm not trying to sell you any of the cosmetics. My top priority is to provide you with knowledge that you can use on your big day - or every day.
Should I wear false lashes for the wedding?
About 90% of the brides I work with choose to wear false lashes. Often times our lashes fade away in photography, lashes allow your eyes to be more noticed and stand out beautifully for the camera. Most times family members and even husbands don’t notice.
How do I know I will be happy with the look?
I always provide a full complimentary run-though before the wedding to ensure that we cover all concerns you have. Your look is customized to suit your needs, colors used during this run-through are documented, so we can replicate your chosen look on your big day. I also take both black and white and color photos so you can see exactly how you will photograph.
What colors will you use on me?
Unless you have a specific look you prefer, there is a pallet of colors that are timeless and do not look dated. A soft romantic look is always the most requested.
Does it matter that my wedding is during the day or outside?
No. A good photographer will know how to photograph you so you look you best in any light. The products I use will be flattering in all lighting.
What type of products do you use?
Because I have experience with many lines, I choose to mix up various professional lines such as Bobbi Brown, Stila, Laura Mercier as well as mineral lines.
My skin is sensitive. Will the make up cause me to break out?
In every case, we will use what is best for your skin’s needs. The lines I use are not heavy and tend to be light on the skin, especially mineral-based foundations. Although it hasn’t been a problem, you will get a chance to see how your skin reacts ahead of time during the complimentary run though.
